Bio: Dr. David Friedlein is a Captain with the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office where he oversees the Administration Division. A 2019 graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia, Dr. Friedlein is a seasoned law enforcement executive with over 19 years’ experience in public service. In his current administrative role, Dr. Friedlein serves the public by leading a team of highly trained, self-motivated individuals who manage one of the largest operating budgets in Hidalgo County. Drawing on his educational doctorate in leadership, Dr. Friedlein teaches college courses to future law enforcement leaders and is passionate about leading the law enforcement profession on a path to help strengthen police-community relations. Because of his positive-based leadership approach, Dr. Friedlein is known as a unique and successful innovator in both the law enforcement and education fields. Dr. Friedlein also serves as the legal liaison between the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office and the Hidalgo County District Attorney’s Office, Sheriffs proxy on the Lower Rio Grande Valley Development Councils Criminal Justice Advisory Committee, and member of South Texas College’s Law Enforcement Advisory Board.

Registration fee is per person attending the meeting.  It includes 1 CPE credit and lunch. 

Cancellation Policy and No Shows:  If you have registered and/or paid for an event and you need to cancel, you MUST email info@rgvacfe.com no later than noon the prior day of the event to request a refund and/or cancel your registration. The Chapter must confirm event registrations meal caterer within one day of the event and any changes after this time period can become a financial cost to the Chapter. Cancellations received less than one day prior to events will not be refunded except for exigent circumstances.

In the event an attendee does not show up to the event, the registration cost will be forfeited. If payment at the door was the selected method, then the attendee will be billed for the full cost of the event. The Chapter reserves the right to bar for future registration any attendees who routinely register and fail to pay and/or attend the event.
